Move all of your essential software on a different partition, format your main partition, and throw 7 on that bitch. Takes an hour and a half TOPS.
Your main rig is one that has been infected with a virus? Not good OP. My suggestion would be to reformat (after backing up) and reinstalling windows. If you wanna use the internet, just use a linux live cd such as ubuntu. It has built in drivers so most of your computer hardware would work out of the box. And linux doesn't have viruses!

Unless you gotta install NI Komplete from the DVDs in which case you best make no plans for the rest of the day.
