i always have wondered why many gay people felt the need to change their voice...because they all adopt the stereotypical "feminine" voice...many of them end up sounding like variations of each other.

why is the voice change necessary?
youre seriously asking this as a serious question?

are you seriously wondering?

i wonder the same thing, about changing your voice and calling yourself "girl." the only thing i can come up with is these people want attention and feel like it's a sign that says, "i'm gay!" as for the transexuals and cross-dressers, i don't go around bashing them and hurting them - but we can't be friends. who knows, though? some day i might meet one and have my feelings changed. i think a lot of people would be seriously bothered if i went around in black face or really had some kind of skin dye job and lip filler. "i used to be a white man, but i'm not any more." but yeah, afaik, nobody knows i'm gay until i tell them or they look at my facebook/myspace/dsf posts. i rarely leave my house, but i need to meet somebody - so i'll be back in the gay bars soon...hating that i'm in the same room with people that don't want to be men. as for the thing about children and what not, i think that's abuse from the parents. they wanted a girl, so they pretend their boy is really a girl and fuck his head up. i just figured this was relevant. i didn't mean to offend anyone! :e:

that's cool. i don't call things i don't like "gay" or even say that f word. so, i don't see what the problem is. i also never tried to murder somebody over it, which happened to me more than once.

Like I said, I don't wanna get into an argument, but what you said could be considered a lot more offensive than saying 'fuck' or implying something is 'gay'.

I'm done now, cba with getting shit started lol.

i'd like to add that i really like 1.8.7 and didn't realize that was a transexual until i heard about the beating he/she got leaving a party one night back in the 90s. i didn't stop liking the music because of it. it just all seems stupid to me. we are all bigots about something - or we are lying.

Don't come to Thailand if you have a problem with Transgenderism. Seriously do you really think they do it out of any kind of choice? I'm sure if you had the choice you wouldn't choose to be gay. These people struggle from childhood till they die. I have lots of trannsexual friends both in and out of work. Fom my experience they are some of the best friends i've ever had, completely open minded and non judgemental.
You really need to read up on the subject and stop being such a bigot.

i really don't recall saying anything about tormenting these people. all i said was that i avoid it and don't believe there is a real need for these people to do what they do. it's funny that i'm the only one i see that comments about the "gay" insults and "f*****" this and that. i'm not posting up shit calling people "trap" or "tranny." all i did was explain my opinion on it. i wouldn't cross the street to avoid passing anyone like that. if you acted that way, i would suppose you had no choice but to be open-minded. i guess for every action anyone partakes in, you can just step back and say it was because they were born that way: serial killers, pedophiles, etc. nothing is caused by abuse or your environment, then? it's nothing to do with wanting attention or easy money? if i ever meet a drag queen or transgender person that's decent enough to continue talking with - then i'll gladly let them explain it to me. i'm not set in my ways. when i'm wrong, i admit i'm wrong. this whole thread was started to make fun of somebody like that. i also don't like loud people and every person like that where i live is extremely loud. this is the one thing i could be called "bigot" about. i'm not hiding it. i'm also not hurting anyone with it, unless we have a bunch of them on DSF and they're reading this. they're more than welcome to come on down and teach me their life story.

I have this female "pan sexual" friend and she summed it up the best one day...

she said...

"I don't need to know if your genetically predisposed to like carrots.
If you like carrots then good for you.
You can put them up your ass as far as I'm concered."

:D

i'm going to drop this one more thing and be done with this thread since people are getting angry. i certainly didn't expect that. anyway, i've been in love with the same man for 6-7 years - something like that. we're not even friends any more. love tore us apart as that song goes. i've sat and thought, "maybe he would have loved me more if i had been a woman." i'm not saving up thousands of dollars to become one so that the next man i love might stay with me. if somebody showed me scientific proof that these people are really female in their brain, then i would accept it. i just don't care enough to go search it out. i'm not bothering any of them, and when i do go back to the gay bars...i still won't bother any of them. lighten up everybody. :w:

I remember seeing something on the telly once claiming that there was some sort of difference in male and female brains and that transgender people have that difference or something? but I really don't remember at all so that's not helped reallly Brent. Sorry

EDIT: Someone just posted something about it I see

Just curious though: I find people who are extremely camp to be annoying. I get accused of being homophobic if I tell anyone that. Thing is. I'm not remotely homophobic. It doesn't bother me in the slightest what someone's into. I just find camp people annoying. Is there anything remotely homophobic about that?

Thank you.

So many people don't seem to understand that there's a difference between not liking the way someone acts and hating someone's sexuality.I guess it's cause the really over the top camp people that wind me up are almost always gay so people think that I'm just being homophobic.

I get you with the plastic business - I think females seeking all that plastic surgery are fucked up too...

Camp - I can handle an amount of it - but I don't really roll like that..
Like - when I go to a drag show with friends - I don't really feel at home..
but I will let them entertain me for a night - they can be trippy as fuck..

That's one thing to love about the rave scene in the early 90's...
You could be gay - openly - and equally as cool as straight guys

A rumble ball is different though...

I love that shit because it's about dance - the music is usually really good
and the cross dressing is expressing something way deeper..it speaks to me as a feminist..
