http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/reviews/ ... index.html The Zoom 707 II. Low cost, great sounds, great functionality, adaptable, incredibly durable and stands up to the test of time, I've had mine since I was 16 or 17. Never needed anything else. It really is great, can't say enough good things about this piece of gear. Sounds great through almost any amp too.

I had the russian one. It's missing a kind of rattling bite that the other one has, which was ok because my shitty crate stack couldn't handle it.

If you buy this pedal for metal style guitars, chances are nobody at the bar could hear wtf you were playing. Buuut it happens to be pretty fun for a ton of other shit. Synths sound bad ass through it (helps to have the eq). I played with a bassist you ran this pedal (set very low) into a super chorus, and it sounded exactly like the cure.

looks like a joke, but its one of those - if it ain't broke don't fix it - kinda things. You'd be surprised how many acts on major labels use these on stage. Probably more than not. I built one of these on a breadboard with a friend in highschool, but we didn't have the drive after that to actually solder the thing together.

i got the little big muff and it's the only pedal i have. i use it on digital synths, mostly leads and to dirty up kick drums and toms.

don't really feel metalzone by itself, lots of fuzzy midrange, and just that... but works nice with something else, like snasamp GT-2 or big muff complementing it.
