Re: Removed mix - Discission Dub Phase
as i can see you dont really understand what everybody is trying to say here. we obviously speak different languages, and i dont mean english or french or hungarian or whatever.
one thing is sure: u will never get too far without showing respect to other people. this is essential since it all began and will always be - even in the 21st century..

Yes Mom you are right. Otherwise mr deper yes we met. You don't have to welcome me in the 21st century. I am in the music since 1999 as a DJ and also producing from 2003 using hardwares. When I was at your age I could mix clearly however when I started (I was 16) I did not have the courage to stand up and mix because of the lack of skills. (exactly the beatmatching problem) Took like 1 year to show others what is in my brain. Also took 5-6 ours practice daily to gain the basic level I wanted. When you prepare a DJ set at home and bring it to the party it won't work always on the floor. This area needs more experiment and improvisation. You would need the skills for entertaining doesn't matter what century we live in. Otherwise downloaded mp3s doesn't give quality back and damages your ear on big sound system because of "dirty freqs". If u use pc for mixing only Wav and AIFF is gonna work maybe high quality mp3. That is why I use vinyl. Just take it as an adwise before you make someone def. Nice and clear mixing comes with good quality. These are so basic things like don't let the mixer in "red" as you did. Welcome in the 21st century.

Seriously, I really dont think you are in a position to criticize the hungarian dubstep scene, or dubstep nights in BP or whatever. It's actually the opposite way if you think about it. I went down to hear something different, maybe something that represents the scene in Belgium or whatever, and you kind of brought shame to your own scene. Nevertheless I realize that the Belgian dubstep scene is far greater and far more talented than what you represent, but still, it kinda makes me sceptical on whether or not you really see dubstep better than we see it. If you did, you wouldn't have done what you did (posing, acting like a clown etc.)
Sure it always comes down to the music in the end, but if a dubstep night was just about that than we could just all get together once and listen to rinse or some mix or whatever, and it would be the same. But if you pay to see a dj play a set, surely you want to see tight mixing, good selection, etc. and not get screwed over with this bullshit.
I hope you see what I mean.

WOW...
I dont think I have ever heard of anything more embaressing... anyone who knows anything about music knows that you DO NOT play a mix cd at a live event... DJ-ing is easy enough nowadays that you dont need to...
Advice: Mate, if you can make tunes, you are a producer. If you can play tunes, you are a DJ. If you get a booking because of the music you make but cant mix, turn the gig down, tell the promoter you cant mix well enough and PRACTISE... it really aint that hard...
This is very sad indeed, as I know how serious the Dub Phase crew are about their music... This should in NO WAY, make people think any less of the Dub Phase crew (Display, Confused, Gumilap, Kebab) they are all very good DJ's and are making some excellent music... we had a a wicked time when we came, played for 3 hours and still wanted more, the crowd were wicked and the system/vibe was amazing... Onwards and Upwards for all you lot...
Peace

yep no amalgam please
those guys are clearly not getting the point at all but trust me we have much more decent, civilized and talented artists here in Belgium
Been booked quite a few times at Dub Phaze so am sure the crew can say that Belgium can propose WAY BETTER than those LAME guys !
At least this story was instructive about who I won't never book here...

Belgium has a wicked scene but its in no way better than the one in Hungery or anywhere else for that matter...
The thing about this planet and the people who inhabit it is that there are going to be good parties, good crews, good dj's and there is gonna be shit parties, shit crews and shit dj's...
The only thing that matters is that you take the time to find the ones that are good and make sure that you DO NOT further the careers of people that dont care about moving things FWD>>
Re: Removed mix - Discission Dub Phase
Exactly why i said what I did. This is CLEARLY not a representation of anything related to the dubstep scene in Belgium, I am well aware. To my knowledge it is one of the strongest scenes in Europe, obviously these guys have nothing to do with the true belgian scene.bunzer0 wrote:kryptic wrote: maybe something that represents the scene in Belgium or whatever, and you kind of brought shame to your own scene. All true what you said.. The lack of the experiment and improvisation is the thing I was working on.homeroomsquad wrote:Yes Mom you are right. Otherwise mr deper yes we met. These things really help.. Like I said, I took the courage to do it a gig ago and it went well.
Too Bunzero.. You are like the godfather of the belgian Dubstep scene, it's not strange that you rocked that place.
