youtube rips r 128kbps absolute max. It's terrible. Anyone who actually seriously mixes or uses this shit is an idiot. Uk bass music is so reliant on low frequencies, high sound quality that you are seriously missing out on youtube. Its pretty useful for keeping up to date with dubs/ unreleased material but only as a marker so I can get the release on vinyl or digital when its out. For digital you are looking at about £1.30 for a 1411kbps single release which is pittance or about 7 quid for a only vinyl release like dmz or swamp81 and for that you get a lovely heavyweight fully mastered collectors item. P2P sites are the worst, straight up theft.

Shopping for tunes/ waiting for releases is also a great experience, OMSUK011 Unidentified/ Forseen came out today, I have been waiting for this one god knows how long and now im fucking stoked - cant wait to get home to get it on and piss off the neighbours. Each to their own but I get satisfaction out of supporting this small scene that gives me much enjoyment.

Dubstep on the other hand, I support the creativity of these people working so hard to help shape and expand this thing we call electronic music; which we all have a passion for. It would be a crime, not to compensate these individuals for their efforts.

You download off of iTunes at 256kbps. If I cant find something thats a 320 elsewhere i'll very reluctantly purchase from there at 256.

No worries. I feel your pain with the hangover!! I proper lol at the little youtubers who rip shit at 128 then convert it to 320 when this has no effect what so ever on the actual quality of the track! Seen it done before alot.

Yeah 320s are always going to be around 10-15mb and WAVs about 50-70mb so with the increases in storage etc people should be moving on to WAVs i feel. Although they do cost slightly more dont they??

http://www.digital-tunes.net you can buy mp3/flac/wav for same price. Boomkat you pay only slightly more for flac, and trackitdown.net is 1.75 per wav, all not too bad

@brokedjs http://www.ebuyer.com/product/244504 pretty decent!

Not gonna lie I've pirated a shit-load of music, but when it comes to dubstep, personally the only way I can really enjoy is it on vinyl. There's not really much point downloading shit quality tunes thats gonna be played on my Ipod or PC.
So yeah, I think Dubstep is the only genre of music I haven't pirated.
