Whilst this *is* true you also gotta admit that skream/magnetic man are raking it in right now and most of the really big names make a comfortable enough wage to live off. Albeit mostly from DJ'ing not producing but whatever, it's the productions that get them the DJ gigs so...

Not that there's a lot of money in EDM, just sayin a lot of people do make a decent living off it without having to work as a lawyer during the day or whatever..
You gotta remember skream and magnetic are doing contract production for a major coorporation, Id put a fair wager down they're doing alot more then just there personal work in there.

Also, at a certain point if your technical skills are sharp enough the real money's outside of dubstep in the world of sound design for film, games, multimedia, etc. or by doing engineering, post production, software/hardware design, or some other "pro audio" job.

I doubt there are any true dubstep millionaire artists in that sense because if they have made that much money, it sure didn't come only from their own album sales... or even a famous-name remix for that matter. Not really any of those lame fake tan jetsetting rockstar DJ ego types like in trance & house, tbh.

...Which is fine by me anyway because money tends to fuck a lot of things up anyway IMHO.

Struggle is good for art, right? -r-

It'd be nice to think that all of my favorite producers are banking, and that the talent I like is being recognized. I understand it's something you do for the love; and that's great... it's just kinda disheartening knowing some of my favorite producers aren't the superstars to everyone else that I make 'em out to be, 'cause relating that upon myself kinda makes my biggest achievements look soooo small on the big scale.
