Good luck you sound like a true frontline pioneer. Tell us how everything goes.
The dance music scene here is mostly about posturing (read: how one looks) and so it is not difficult to imagine that a majority of the clubs feature "progressive" (many promoters will only book djs who have been featured in the top 100 of the so-called "dj list". Because there is no underground scene, what scene there is has not grown up here, rather it has either been imported by the transient foreign population, or by Koreans who left to study abroad, but stumbled upon the scene elsewhere along the way and wanted to transplant that experience here.

There is one dnb club called Cargo that for all those involved is nothing short of a labour of love, one proper techno dj named Analog, one Korean house crew called Triple House, one Korean breaks crew called the Breakbakery, and one foreign breakbeat orientated crew, which I am a part of, called the Breakbeat Massive; in a country with a population of 48,846,823 well... you do the math.

The Breakbeat Massive has been running a breakbeat orientated night at Vinyl Underground in Busan (the second largest city in Korea) for the past four years; no small feat. This night is inarguably the best night in the country for breakbeat orientated music as the crowd has been "trained" to expect music that cannot be found at pretty much any other club in the country. It is my hope that I will be able to smoothly insert dubstep into the mix to the overwhelming appreciation of the party people in the place.

I really appreciate the lists of tracks that I have received; let's call it the canon of dubstep.

I will keep you posted as I help to pave the path on which the dub can step.
