Also, take it outside the box: don't let the computer be your sole medium of expression. Play a guitar or piano, or even learn a new instrument; do some field recording.

You can also take a bunch of those little snippets you started and mash a bunch of 'em together into one new song...

that for me is the biggest one, gettin off the computer and making some music, play another instrument be it a shaker or a harp anything that gives you simple expression and youll soon find yourself inspired to get on your daw again

It's funny too, because elitist non-electronic-music-types always accuse electronic musicians of seeking instant gratification from a machine:

my reply is, "motherfucker! When I want instant gratification I pick up a guitar and hit it and it makes a noise.... while on a computer, sometimes I'll spend 2 hours micro-editing 2 seconds worth of music! Instant gratification my ass. Now go make me a pot pie, bitch."

Or somethin' like that.
