Can this just be a Die Antwoord thread now? It'll certainly have better results than the OP.jondavey wrote:Die Antwoord rock.

I need real dubstep songs!
This quote really sums up what makes this forum so frustrating. Why are there so many people, on both sides of the deep vs. tearout debate, that insist on defining what "real dubstep" is? (...and in some cases, then trying to force their definition down others' throats?) I've always loved the diversity of sounds that the word dubstep can encompass, and it just seems counterproductive to try to put limits on it. I find lots of tearout, filth stuff to be obnoxious and annoying, and I find lots of deep, minimal stuff that bores me to tears... but I also find brilliant tunes on both sides, across the whole spectrum. And I acknowledge that my opinions are totally subjective, and I'm sure as hell not gonna get self righteous and try to tell people that the stuff I like is "real dubstep" and the stuff they like isn't.
(oh, and OP, I'm not aiming this at you specifically... more intending it as a general comment on the whole issue.)

wow so i got alot of resposes pretty fast....south3rn wrote:and i'd say a lot of the songs like dr. sin are the ones that have "no substance"
qawwali was released 5 years ago and it still comes up in conversation almost weekly. how long till dr. sin gets brought up again?
before i go on i just want to say that im not hating on any song and im not saying shit on anything, but the less is more threory doesnt work in the vegas scence. Its all about those sick drops, powerful basslines, and just that beat that make you want to rock the venue till it start you start an earthquake kinda shit

im not sure how you want to define "massive" but to me theres nothing massive about a chill beat with a few wobbles. im totally down to smoke a bowl to that shit, its great, but massive in my perpective is a massive dank ass beat that hit you so massivly heavy that you have no choice but to allow you brain to explode all over my new sub woffers

maybe massive means that a shit load of poeple listen to it, but that doesnt make it any better of a song. yet again im not dissing on this song, im just saying i cant use it to mix with cause it way to slow and would cause my audiance to stop chill instead of get the fuck up for a crazy ass drop!
So yah, Dr. Sin is like 10x heavier then the other and if you dont agree on that then your just blowing it out your ass. All im sayin it i want to hear more heavy powerful rock the house kinda music.

it's part of the "less is more" thought. i'd say if you don't like qawwali, you may not understand dubstep.
sine of the times i suppose
although, in LV I can't see much meditating on bass weight going down
Now back to "this is England"
Anyway I don't think you should start topics about you disliking something anyways, leave it be when you dislike it, don't start with hating on it. In addition to that -sorry for bringing it up but will get mentioned anyway- about the whole broshizzle stuff just leave it be enjoy the music that ya like and listen to that, no point in slander anywayz will only get more noticed and yes it's a damn shame that beautys like Glut don't get the respect and popularity they deserve and other -bliep, bliep bliep tunes do get that "attention" but most people are ignorant anyway (yes even the ones hatin' on brostep or them artist are ignorant as well) so why give a fuck
oh well I know saying this is pointless but :/
yah it kinda is
.... wow alright this is to pretty much everyone that posted.
First off, Chill da fuck down. sorry i choose such a tender song to you guys but im trying to prove a point. Now everyone listen very closely
are you listening? very good

...... god you guys are like a bunch of animals, i try to make a valid point and people trip like im hitler killing the jews. Did i say that i disliked that song at all? i just said that it wasnt possible to blow peoples skulls out of there head with that song.
The only person that made any logic sence was the guy who said the " less is more" threoy. Yah i can see that cause i can keep them guessing and some people can really appericate it ( like me

So yah thats what im trying to say, and i dont wanna hear a bunch of bashing cause i dont really give to shits, really its just a bunch of noise thats flooding this thread when all i want is good tracks

and have a nice day
