Bigup Surrey Massive.

The main Surrey campus is amazing. You'll have months of fun there.

Btw, Cosmic's advice is the best advice I've read on here in regards to
Uni. Work first, party later.
you applyin or already there?

i agree the campus is somethin else.
Interview here on the 9th...tonmeister course yeah?!

I have graduated man. I miss Uni like crazy...
I was at Roehampton, but was in Surrey @ main campus every once in a while.
Was quite envious - Roe has a beautiful campus, but Surrey is, as you said,
something else.

Royal Holloway is also a really nice Uni too.

All the Surrey Universities have nice campus sites.

it's a bit tricky... i'm in my second year here in the US, but am applying to enter the 2nd year at uni in the UK as well. we have 4 year programs here, and my school is on a quarter system... but i guess i'm in my 4th semester?
but you are in the same bologna-system with the ETCS-points and all?
nope... i believe that's a european uni thing? i think american universities are kind of in their own worlds... not sure how credits will transfer over so i'm a bit worried.

I want to go to uni sometime soon. Not sure what I'd do though. Debt is a worry.

I never finished my A levels. I got three or four AS levels and dropped out in the second year.

Haha, I know I know it's best in europe etc etc etc, but I had a look at the leeds college of music course and that felt like the right place/course for me...even over the surrey one...was more about using the studio as an instrument rather than using it as a tool which is what I felt from surrey?

Wouldn't recommend LCM, especially compared to Surrey! Doing FE there and I know it's different to HE but the organisation of the college is terrible, their in debt and instead of getting working equipment in all the studios they spend money on keeping the receptionists warm and to have a new carpet :/

Send a DM to Hackman he's doing BA in Music Production i think!

Should look at Bath Spa for creative music tech really :D

ha fair play. yeah tonmeister isnt a production course, so if you want that, its probably the wrong place. but i think you learn more useful stuff there that can be applied to any thing in the audio industry - recording, composing, production, engineering, performance, acoustics, programming, synthing etc etc. i think thats the best thing about it... its relatively comprehensive on everything, bt then you do your diss on somethin more specific once you've sort of decided what you wanna research.

Nice one.

I'm doing my first year now and the massive amounts of maths depresses me.

Ah Hackman is who they were referring toooo!! They mentioned rusko (obviously) and a guy in the second year of production course. I'll DM him...

It wasnt just the course idea that appealed to me but the whole place felt like a big community and all the warm cuddly shit like that and leeds is pretty cool lol.
