No way I could be missed under the UV - I was wearing a bright green Adidas tracksuit and a white tee.

I looked like a walking traffic sign

Massive!
I was in the queue at 9.30, so I had no idea how many people were about until I got upstairs and saw that it was packed out up there.
Best set for me has to be Skream's. It was nuts, even before he dropped Midnight Request Line. So much weight.
The sound system upstairs sounded a little shady at first, but they seemed t it out as the night progressed. Still not sure about the whole balcony buisness, and definately not that keen on the raised DJ booth. Seemed a little superstar DJ.

Big ups to whoever wrote 5 on that bit of paper and gave it to Joe Nice, that made my night. Big ups to Joe Nice in general for hanging around outside with the rest of us freezing folk before doors opened and chatting random crap. I'm pretty sure everyone wants the pavement to light up for them like Michael Jackson in the Billie Jean video.

Plasticman: You were like a damn beacon in there, mate. You could have guided in ships with your UV glow. I want some pictures!

monumental night. sadly i missed most of joe's set whilst in the queue. just got in and a taste of the atmosphere before the switch

adjustments were difficult to make to the new space but youngsta killed it.

the sound lacked 3rd base pressure, the bass was lacking definition for me but once the atmosphere picked back up it didn't matter so much -
bigger venues are always going to compromise the sound.

where next?

Simply awesome, last night history was made and it was a pleasure to be there.

People are complaining about things however if the rooms hadnt been switched then a large amount of you wouldnt of got in so lets not be too fussy! To get a venue that comes with a half descent system is not easy to find so I'd say they done a pretty good job!

It did sound pretty huge up there...my brain's still rattling from some of Loefah's stuff. It being my first DMZ, I bow to the superior knowledge of regulars on how it contrasted with the sound in 3rd Base; hard to tell from what I caught of Joe Nice's set.

Bloody great night, anyway. Everything that I'd been led to expect, particularly the vibe. Everyone there for the music, no posturing, no attitude, no bullshit...and that seems to come from the very top. The whole thing is a credit to the people who've created it, whether punters or promoters.

A landmark? Dunno, don't really care either. I'll remember it for a long time, whatever.
