Fair enough, guess that wasn't the original point of the remix. Still, if i give this a shot I doubt im going to put a ton of time in unless im really stuck with the stuff im working on now.deadly habit wrote:who said it was make it sound as shitty as mt eden time?

sign me up
Re: "Sierra Le-Owned" Remix Comp [TBC]
i'm up for it, only thing is if there's a deadline, please make it more than 48 hrs, that battle royale comp taught me the hard way i cannot come up with something decent in such a short notice
Re: "Sierra Le-Owned" Remix Comp [TBC]
Personally, I loved the 48 hours. Unfortunately, I had something come up that severely limited my availability, but still. 48 hours is like no bullshit, do it, and get it done.
But I think a week is reasonable for this. Can we just make start and stop times local? GMT can joggle these.

I think I'm out on this one. Too much going on at the moment and focused on my own tunes presently.

48hrs is like hey i just finished this and after having the same shit on repeat for such a short period of time i can't take a step back to make some decent mixing decisions or a break to make any objective changesnowaysj wrote:Personally, I loved the 48 hours. Re: "Sierra Le-Owned" Remix Comp [TBC]
oh yea and it's also gonna be a case of everyone involved is going to have to sort out their own original sample source as hosting it would be a bit sketchy as no one here owns the rights to the original
Re: "Sierra Le-Owned" Remix Comp [TBC]
Yeah, buy the track, but making a parody is a fair use in the us, and likely the equivalent in the uk.
Re: "Sierra Le-Owned" Remix Comp [TBC]
I'm in, if anyone needs the sample I have a source but I don't know whether to pm or aim or what..
Re: "Sierra Le-Owned" Remix Comp [TBC]
Yeah I'm in. Make the length a week. It's hard for people to find two days to sit down and work on music.
Re: "Sierra Le-Owned" Remix Comp [TBC]
Legality of that probably won't swing. You guys have to say you've bought it just so it doesn't look like the site's condoning music piracy.Trainrek wrote:I'm in, if anyone needs the sample I have a source but I don't know whether to pm or aim or what..
Obviously no one will know if it's a legal copy, but In the interest of covering my own arse, I'll implement a 'Don't ask, Don't tell" policy.
So a week? Possibly starting at 12pm in your specific timezone? Have a talk it and when I'm back from Uni later if there's a clear agreement we can get to the le-owning.
Conditions so far:
. Open to all genres, BPMs, etc...
