He should just get a Dropbox, and shut up about Dubstepforum. :D
I was only half serious there by the way. But yeah, Dropbox allows you to collaborate pretty much instantaneously. You can open each other's files anyway.

Also, in the context of slating dubstepforum, I find the idea of some tool to collaborate with random strangers to be a little bizarre :D

Forums like this one are a meeting point for people to advertise and discuss music and it certainly has helped alot of people (including him and her) get their music listened too along the way. Yeah you get idiots on here that are just trying to get a rise from certain people by making certain comments but more often than not they get shot down by the rest. I’ve been in dubstep for the past 6 years first as Whiteboi (HENCH) now as Orphan101 and the genre has changed in all directions just like it is supposed too. So what if people diss the bangers and the so called "brostep" side of things If your a producer or even a fan and that’s what you enjoy then more power to you no one should ever tell you what to and not to like taste is a personal decision.
God damn, now I know why I can't find any Whiteboi :s been looking everywhere, love your stuff m8

Oh and btw :z: to your comment :D

If he can't take criticism, he's a little girl.Oh wait, we already knew that (the twitter episode).

I don't like what he's released over the last year and that's my right as a listener. And I can voice that however I like. I've noticed that people over here are incredibly personally offended by statements criticising so-called 'established' producers. I don't know why.
All releases by 'recognised' producers can't be good. You should be able to voice some criticism. It's not a personal attack at you people for listening to it. You can enjoy all releases with or without questioning them, just don't expect everyone else to do so. And especially don't act like you've been personally kicked in the balls. It doesn't come over as particularly adult.

DSF has its negatives, but the positive far outweighs that.

true colors coming out in that interview. nice to see people arrogant enough to paint a whole online community of 50,000 members with the same brush.

everyones entitled to their views. i just want to know if ikonika and flying lotus, can sit down and say that nobody via dubstepforum has found out about their music for the first time, bought their records, or found out about their gigs, or supported their music? do they have the crystal ball on their fanbase? lucky for them i guess.

the deep thing about interviews, is that they're permanent, and comments made people don't forget .

these 4 threads alone have 47,000+ views.

The reason I know who Flying Lotus is - I downloaded something on this forum years ago.

The reason I know who Ikonika is - she contacted me via this forum (about an interview, which she then came around twice to try and do). Again, years ago....

Anyway, this forum (and Dubplate.net before it) have done a lot for the scene. Full stop!

I am finding some of these comments rather aggressive. I honestly don't mind people slating my music but when it comes to misinterpreting what someone has said in an interview…well thats just 'wack' and 'stupid' :)

DSF is the best resource for anything dubstep related. I still read and post here. Why would I not? We are all 'mere mortals' because this is all just underground music. I am not a celebrity, rock star, diva, superhero etc… I am Sara, I make tunes and DJ. DSF allowed me to send tunes to people like Kode9 and from that he started releasing my music.

I have met some amazing people just through this forum alone because of the community spirit, but I do think that has changed in the last few years. I haven't felt 'at home' on this forum for a while.

I do not agree that DSF is 'stupid' or 'wack'.

Kris, you have been dming me tunes for years using dubstepforum. Do you still think dsf is the best way for sending tunes? I personally don't. This interview was done about a year ago, just as tools like Twitter, Dropbox and Soundcloud became more popular (IMO).

I don't think I'll do any more interviews for a while because I find people tend to perceive artists in such a mythical way. We are people, so please do not hang on everything we say. Interviews for me are actually very nerve-racking, because I don't like talking about my music or pretending to be an ambassador for whatever people are labelling me at the time. I understand they are permanent and I am very slowly understanding how press works.

I do apologise for offending anyone, hate and arrogance is really not in my nature.

I will always love this forum.

Sorry once again,

The fact and the matter is that dubstepforum has been a big part of this culture. Flying Lotus doesn't really make dubstep, nor has he ever been a part of the core dubstep listener. So fuck the guy's opinion.
