Re: Icicle Production Masterclass
its cool but what i didnt like is the long explanations of every single plugin...for example the psp nitro - 8 knobs 2 lfos dry/wet etc...it was like a manual...

I think it was great. He shows how important processing is with creating his noises.flatfaced wrote:its cool but what i didnt like is the long explanations of every single plugin...for example the psp nitro - 8 knobs 2 lfos dry/wet etc...it was like a manual...

His basslines and others along the same (Krpytic Minds, sp:mc, youngsta, lx one etc) are better than the majority of basslines I hear now days.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.
Re: Icicle Production Masterclass
generally clipping at 3db on the master!
i remember that reason/rewire glitch... so damn frustrating.

Re: Icicle Production Masterclass
I thought because bus 1 and 2 each had designated frequencies. One below 100hz and one above. I added delay to my sound on the bus with the frequencies above 100hz. So I wanted my fx from the 3rd bus to go thru the delay which is why I gave it no output and sent it thru bus 1 and 2, mixed with the first signal. Though now I see that since the signal from the 3rd bus is already mixed with the original signal, I may as well keep the delay on the above 100 channel, and send it all to come out the 3rd bus.serox wrote:I am not sure about that. I thought he sent the sample to 3 buses each with different processing and then all 3 going out of the master?inDistinkt wrote:I've been watching it and I have one question that hopefully someone can answer. Im still pretty new to producing.
So in the first video while working on the bass, he adds all the fx to the chain on the original channel, then he sends it to 3 busses. I understand why 2 of the busses are for certain frequencies, and I'm pretty sure that those channels should be the actual ones with the output. So I sent the signal from my original channel to bus 3. Then made a new fx chain on the third bus, set it to no output, and sent that signal to bus 2 and 3.
If this is correct then it's pretty straight forward but I guess I basically just want to make sure I'm doing this right because Im pretty new to sends and using busses. And in the video I dont think he specified where exactly to send the 3rd bus.
I dont use logic so I found it a little bit tricky to follow exactly what he was doing so I may be wrong.
I dont understand why anyone would do it the way you have said, can someone clear this up?
Re: Icicle Production Masterclass
It doesn't really matter what he made or EXACTLY how he did it, it's for people who already know quite a bit about what they are doing already to get an insight into his process. If you need to learn how to split frequencies read a thread about it, it will be much easier to understand.
