shaolin soccer is definitely up there, really dug that one. also, anyone here seen mirrormask? really good flick in the whole "little girl trapped in alternate reality" vein, but with a neil gaiman twist.

oh, and naturally, the dark crystal. i've got the collectors edition dvd. 8)

dr. strangelove is probably my favourite, or ghostbusters.
festen is a big film. ingmar bergman made top films.
twin town is still funny. some french new wave films were heavy like a bout de souffle.

And they've just announced that they're going to do a remake. How do I KNOW they're going to fuck it up?

:(

And Flash Gordon. They're going to turn it from fun campiness to aggressive attitude fests. Gah.

one of my favorites.
Seconded, Sean Penn is damned good in this. The Django bits are hilarious.

You got any idea what the name of the short Ingmar Bergman parody that Woody did was called - includes the chess game from Seventh Seal. Saw it once and thought it was hilarious but couldn't find it on IMDB. Only about 30 mins long I think.

Starting to wonder if I dreamt it
Hmm....
