mission accomplished.
hip hop heads were turned.
my knees are tired from bouncing around through a 2 hour set.

After playing hip hop for a few, we worked it into some dubstep early on in the night. So, Im up, dropping 'Crunk'd up' and my roomate is at the bar next to two older bar regulars - definately not the typical Benga fans - and he notices that they're talking about the music. Expecting the worst, but curious to what they're saying about it he turns and asks what they think of the music. "Its wonderful! We were just talking about how much were enjoying it, its really nice to hear some instrumental music, and this easy to dance to and we like it alot, whats it called?..." and so forth. Nothing but good vibes on the dubstep from a bar full of people expecting rock and hip hop all night. And the virus spreads some more...
Thats sweet man! Big up. Glad you're spreadin and people are feelin!
I was good mates with him (the singer) when I was younger. He played bass in a band i was in. He was shit, I had to play his parts when we recorded... They showed up late at rehearsal, was arrogant and just didnt wanna rehearse the tunes. When they had stage rehearsal, in a huge warehouse, with 50 people preparing all sorts of shit for them, all they played was... 2 Riffs on the bass (bass player apparantly saying "there!" after the riffs+ 30 seconds of drums. He left, called his manager and got 75% of the salary for the whole period. Complete arses.Shonky wrote:if someone could assassinate Razorlight that'd probably be quite cool![]()
Anyway. I'm too old to spread the word about new genres. Im into dubstep like no other genre, ever. But I can't be arsed convincing people who would be happier listening to top fitty. And genre tourists? Fuck them, they dont know what it was like.
I played a party last night. First time dubstep was played in Pittsburgh not counting opening slots. Wasn't sure how the room was going to sound, the dj before me was playing funk and soul. Soon as my first drop hit I knew it was over, the bass was shaking the whole building. Everyone was feeling it, they even made me rewind knowledge
