Ohhh, haha, internet sarcasm

I have a beastly shotgun sample, might try to use that.

This is my current bass, I tried to keep it really simple, anyone have ideas as to what I could do with it?

I can send you the combi file if you want to tinker with it :W:

I'll totally take a that combi file, I'd love to mess around with it. What kind of sound are you going for anyways?

Umm, I'm going for a heavier, techy sound, something along the lines of the bass in Eastern Jam by Chase & Status or Fail by Druley. (Yes, I know they're entirely different, but I prefer the one by Druley if that helps.) I know Reason is capable of making those noises, but I don't really have the experience to tinker with all the aspects of the program. I always end up with a strange, high pitch bass. A guide on how to make any of those basses would be much appreciated if anyone knows how to create them.

I'm more into brostep, if that helps, but I'm fine with any type of dubstep. :D

Btw, anyone have any idea how to make a drop really heavy? Like the drop in the Gold Dust remix by Flux Pavilion. Is that just a really loud sub or is there more at play? :?

There's one of my basses from Reason... :cornlol:
http://www.boyinaband.com/tutorials/dir ... -tutorial/ << This helped SO FUCKING MUCH. I recommend watching them all but the two about basses only will suffice.
Also one tip to make it drop harder is to automate the master volume so it slowly fades down a few db's on the build up, then when it drops, bring them db's back up!

one trick that did it for me, was to approach the shit like an eq but with amplitude...

instead of trying to boost so much at the drop... cut back just before... before the drop... lower the volume just a tidbit for about 2 bars...

rusko used something similar if im not mistaken...

Reverse risers/cymbals, a bar of silence, a vocal sample between that and the drop. Bob's your uncle, fanny's your auntie.
