I came home though quite quickly, it's lonely out there. Far more than London is to a newcomer.
My advice is never get into something that you can't jump straight out of. Always have enough cash in an account somewhere for a ticket home and a bit more for emergencies. That way there is no reason you can't just jump in feet first. I did, and it's why I have done and seen far more than most people my age. So much sore I omit stuff from my CV and people who don't know me, generally think I must be talking shit because their life has been: leave school -> Go to uni -> Dos about for a bit before getting a job.
Don't settle down and put your feet up until you're at least 35.

I'm thinking of actually listening to you for once
Re: Pick Up and Go.
Australia's dope, Ive lived between Brisbane and San Diego,Ca my entire life.
San Diego's mexican food and proximity to tijuana, mexico is a headtrip, coming from the highly manicured, upper class white neighborhoods to a third world drug/human trafficking otherworld within a 10 minute drive. I love it but the nightlife sucks here, its very much a car dominated city with weak public transport.
Brisbane nightlife is dope but the food sucks, and fashion is strange, to an american that is, public transportation and medical system is a breeze. People are friendlier it seems.

It used to be really good two years ago, even if the events didn't come as much.mezi wrote:how many times can you go out to the same stale ass bars listening to brostep, seeing the same people over and over, its time for me to make moves as well.
Stop hanging out at Dub Dorado! Limited nights at Kava. It was really nice last weekend. Did you go?

I imagine America would be one of the more difficult places to start a new life. I wouldn't mind checking out Canada in a few years though.

jobs are well paid usually. living is quite expensive though. - but you can live cheap if you go to the right places.
see you

Re: Pick Up and Go.
I'm leaving university this summer and I plan on heading off. Going to work for a bit and get some money and then just go where I fancy...I don't plan on living elsewhere at the moment but see if anywhere takes my fancy. Got my family here and I am definitely a fan of home comforts. Plus I want to get into production over the summer so staying here, I'll have something to occupy me...
Maybe go work and live somewhere for a few months at a time and then come home every so often, just do something different before the inevitable settling down period, which I would like to do at some point.
Just gotta make that push. I really like firky's idea on keeping an account with emergency money if that loneliness takes you over or you really are too far out there. Definitely going to do that, if I don't end up spending it then I got some money for when I come back home innit!!
