ez all, I record my studio mixes straight into another mac.

BUT, im looking for a really cheap portable recorder that I can plug into the outputs of a mixer at live gigs.
Wana start recording some live sets from festivals & stuff that are coming up, but dont wana take a laptop with me.

Any recommend anything??
Most of the ones iv looked at seem to be around the £80 mark, but Im not bothered about mic quality as I will probably only be using it for this..
So if anyone knows a cheaper alternative let me know. thanks

I run an rca/mini-jack cable from the record in on my mixer to the line-ine on a digital recorder.
This way you never have laptop issues fucking up your recordings.

I guess you could use an mp3 player instead of specially designed recorder.

RCA ----> 1/8" -----> Computer -----> Wav Lab

Set Peaks at 0-1db. You can always make things louder you can't undo peaking.

Used same method since like 2000.
