hire a voice over actor that sounds like barry white.. then distortion, downsampling, and pitchshift down several octaves. then layer/distort more/compress. you wont get the same effect but thats the idea.

FYI.. saying ANYTHING about excision or robots on this forum is like pouring seal blood all over yourself and then jumping into a shark tank... so uhm, good luck

If you wanna make Dubstep, take all the money you would spend on tuition and use it to survive while you work 10 hours a day on your own with your computer and your monitors and teach yourself. The DOA "Grid" forum is a great resource and I'm sure the production forum here is too. Just stay out of the "how to make excision and datsik bass" bullshit and you'll be fine.

when re-sampling how long do you tend to make the sample?

do you ever use one instance of the bounced wave, then looping it in the sampler? if so how does it differ?

It varies what sound im trying to get. If its just a short effect, then it will be pretty small.
