i've had bad trips

shit sucks

everytime it's obvious where it went wrong and conventional wisdom woulda saved the day

Conventional wisdom as in having already experienced it? ie you're less likely to go through the same thing again because you've already come through the other end safely?

That's kind of how i feel about mine though I haven't had mushrooms since

The first time I ever did mushrooms, I was at my best friends house with a few other buddies. About 2 hours into our trip, his roommate (who was the biggest geek in high school), decided he wants to join in, so he eats an eighth, doesn't feel anything, eats a tad more, then goes into his room. As we're all kind of coming down, we start to hear this caveman like grunts coming from the basement. So we go and check it out, and as it turns out, the roommate was sitting in a chair drawing, had pissed himself, and was crying over it.

Heres where it gets good. His throat then started to swell up, so we called EMS, but some cops came with them. The paramedics all come in all nicely, but the cops start patronizing him for a few minutes, being all like "Look at you. Look at your state right now. You pissed yourself! Are you happy about that, Will!?" Well, Will didn't take to kindly to that, and tried to punch the cop in the face. The EMS was supposed to take him to some ward in the hospital for the night, but because of this, the cops decided to take him to the drunk tank, mid trip. He then had to walk across town to get home in the morning (the walk takes about an hour), all while wearing piss soaked pants. Talk about a bad trip.

I have done mushrooms, and i'm not a 'n00b' .

i've tripped around 20 times . (and that's JUSt shrooms)
Many of those times picked my own mushrooms and tripped with a selected company in a certain enviorment .

I'm not saying bad trips don't occur, but you always have to keep your feet on the ground and your head in the clouds, if you know what i'm saying ..
And regarding your "kids table"-comment, fuck you, bro .

tthe thing about shrooms and hallucinogens in general is that even the most experienced can have a bad trip, and it's not always possible to control your mind. you speak of it as though it were like the decision to put on sunscreen when going to the beach. but it's not as easy to control. i've seen friends of mine, some of the most briiliant people i've ever met, reduced to pools of jelly. myself included. and your tone when you said he deserved to die, while obviously exaggerated, was still pretty dickheadish. so yeah, if tthat's really how you feel, then fuck you too
