Personally I've got bored of drugs. Don't see the point.

Don't mind people on them just as long as they aren't being a pain in the arse. Hate topless gurning idiots or nobs on k stumbling into you and spilling your drink everywhere.

Also I think the drunken people are worse most of the time.
+1 for sure...

Would much rather be in a dance with a load of people on mdma than a load of drunks tbh...

agree x10. Also, although neither are 'good' for you and difficult to compare side by side, imo, excess in moderation of alcohol is far worse (in terms of health) than excess in moderation of mdma.

Personally I see most of the troubles in clubs caused by drunken people and for me personally when being "intoxicated" as it were, in a club, being intoxicated on alcohol tends to lead me to having a worse time than if I was sober or on drugs. It should never be PURELY about the drugs but I can't lie, the euphoric chemical rush combined with a tune you love rising in a mix.........tshh nothing compares.

Without drugs to thank there'd be no dance music sooooo...
But yeah, everyone's said what needs to be said: it's people being stupid on drugs that's the problem, not the drugs themselves.
This music is coded for drug use as well. You don't know the meaning of house pianos and diva-vocals if you've not done Md, 'sjust a fact.

Was just about to say the same. If it wasn't for esctasy in the late 80s/early 90s we'd be just like the Yanks, listening to rawk and going home at 11pm. It transformed the UK.

Don't understand why people feel the need to be of their head on drugs to enjoy a good night out. Good music shouldn't need drugs to enjoy.

It isn't that it needs them. If I here a good tune at home, sober, I know it's a good tune. I don't need drugs to enjoy it.

But, if I'm going on a night out, I wanna take something because it enhances the experience.

That's not to say I wanna get so fucked I can barely stand up. I know when to stop. (and I'd be far more likely to not be able to stand up if I was pissed)

its only when people ABUSE drugs (relative too their own tolerance) does it piss off others.

i dont think anyone can tell anybody else whats not good or what to take cos its all subjective and its all down to personal prefrence and opinion. whatever you take, if you start acting like a bit of a dick as a result of that then it aint gonna be percieved well. if your looking a proper mess aswell along with that then it definately aint helping your cause either.

Though I hate drinkers who always complain about people taking drugs no matter how little or how much someone's taken, and often see themselves as better people for not taking anything else, remember... YOU'RE DRUGGED UP TOO.[/quote]

i couldnt agree more, i cant stand the people who see drinking as something totally different from other drugs. most of the time its the drunk people who are disrespectful and unaware

If i go to a night and im on md i dont go to go fucking apsehit like the topless sweaty people. take a bit, appreciate the lights and the bass and the piano's and EVERYTHING more, dance a lot, go home, wicked night.

if im pissed i end up getting real all over the place and dont enjoy it half as much.

inviting mum and dad on a night out definitely improves the atmosphere, as long as you can keep them in check. those crazy kids, y'know.

Loads of good points been put here.

■In England in 2008, there were 6,769 deaths directly related to alcohol. An increase of 24 per cent from 2001. Of these alcohol related deaths, the majority (4,400) died from alcoholic liver disease.

■In England in 2009, there were 150,445 prescription items for drugs for the treatment of alcohol dependency prescribed in primary care settings or NHS hospitals and dispensed in the community. This is an increase of 12 per cent since 2008 when there were 134,423 prescription items and 46 per cent since 2003 when there were 102,741 prescription items.

2010 couldnt find but yh, Alcohol is a poison but i suppose a good tasting one at that!

Its completly true about fights and aggyness with alcohol, it changes people into a mind set they would probly never have sober and alot of the time not for the better. A night on MD is more along the lines of 'What did you get up to last night?'
'Well i took some md danced all night hugged my friend for a good hour or so and had a conversation with a stranger about the meaning of life, and fucked my ears from been to close to the speakers'.

I accept that both drugs have there good and bad sides, but i know what vibe id rather be on at a rave...

What would that achieve?
