Well, I can understand that you're against all the hype about the wedding, because you know, it's just a wedding.
I can also understand that you are displeased with people being so hyped about it that they buy lots of shitty souvenirs and start throwing parties.

But I cannot understand that you are against going to a street party, just to get pissed and have fun with friends.

Obviously people here are against all the hype but they just want to have some fun.

I want no connection in any way whatsoever to 'IT' and just because david cameron says to go and party im not going to...partying can occur anytime but i m choosing not to do anything that might give the impression i approve of the evil racist izan royals....besides we all paid the 24 million for security out of our taxes not to mention the cost of another bank holiday....and the media is looking to stifle any kind of protest as well despite many opinion polls saying 80% of people are not interested yet all the bbc seems to be saying is its a tiny minority that wanna spoil the fun

i guess most people just dont have that big an issue with the ruling classes but personally i think the whole thing is disgusting

Fair enough. Don't really have much problems with royal families, at least not with ours. I don't know much about the royal family in the UK but seeing how much uproar the wedding has caused it appears to me that younger people aren't really pro-royalty anymore.
Didn't know so much money went to it though.

They don't have any power.

They're forced to do the country's bidding until they die (especially William)... we don't send our Prime Minister on vacuous state visits like Obama has to waste his time on, we have a family of public slaves to do that for us, so our politicians can get on with running a relatively sane country. We have a royal wedding once every couple of decades where everyone can have a day off and unwind together watching the same telly show instead of a massive (and socially divisive) inauguration ceremony once every 5 years where only half the people get to be happy.

The toothless, placeholder Monarchy is better than a Presidency... it's had to be, we would've executed them if it wasn't.

Oh, and Kate's fit... the more I see of her in ludicrously expensive figure hugging dresses whilst I'm drunk and stoned in public, the better. I hope they broadcast the wedding night on Babestation.

Today, I danced to Cee Lo whilst giving a German girl a piggyback and waving the Union Jack. It was a good day.

Fuck haters. Seriously. Fuck them. There was no reason not to have fun with everyone else today. I'm glad I wasn't too fucking cool to get pissed and dance with strangers.

Anyone actually watch it?
think i wasn't the only one going "so that was it yh?"

Each one of us has our own 'set' opinions and beliefs about monarchy but if we never had one, our beliefs would be totally different. So basically, we always know best.

I ended up on land of the hipsters (shoreditch) but it was actually pretty sick. Was chatting up some old woman but got dragged away by a friend...looking back, I wish I got my hands of her age ridden body...
