Re: wanna learn how to play the keyboard better
thanks for the input guys.
i wish i knew someone that was very good at piano so they could teach me in a not so formal way.
i do learn better when im shown how to do things and explained in person. but im sure i can get it with a lot of perseverance and dedication. slowly but surely.

If you're motivated to learn by yourself, try this book :

The keyboard is actually pretty easy to learn and there's no need to be an awesome player to be able to play awesome EDM melodies. Paying lessons are a waste of money unless you want to play complex jazz/classical pieces imo.lyons238 wrote:wouldnt mind paying for something like this if its actually worth it...can you vouch for it?Tweeka wrote:http://www.rocketpiano.com/
Off topic but still relevant : learning music theory works well with learning to play the keyboard and will definitely help writing better music.
Here's another great book if you're up for it : http://www.amazon.com/Music-Theory-Comp ... 322&sr=8-1

yeah i was already looking at that one. which would you recommend of the two? im leaning towards the for computer musicians because i read that the author uses screen shots of the piano roll vs music notes (which i cant read). and he references to reason, so it would be relevant to me.daft tnuc wrote:The keyboard is actually pretty easy to learn and there's no need to be an awesome player to be able to play awesome EDM melodies.
