Chemical Records has a rough BPM guide to most tunes, if you are trying to mix two together look them up on that to see if your trying a 130 into a 145 and can't hear the difference and wonder why its clashing. There are free BPM counters/tap tempo programmes you can download to help you mark up your records/CDs.

You will learn how producers work as well; Kromestar, F-One is mostly 143bpm where many Coki, Mala and D1 cuts are 138bpm. This isn't hard and fast but you can get a idea for how a 143 tune might sound compared and then train your ears to hear the difference...
