Yes! I should have mentioned that really =PPedro Sánchez wrote:Do you live with 5 others for that rent?the acid never lies wrote:Is Shoreditch still cheap though? Go to Whitechapel instead, not far at all but reasonable rent (take it form someone who has lived there). Otherwise go to Brixton which has some ace bars and clubs and all that. Plus I only pay £280 a month in rent.

All these pricks that think they're edgy for living in Shoreditch or Dalston, strange how you don't see many of them being edgy around places like Loughborough Junction

Must admit I am quite surprised Dalston is becoming trendy since I moved out of London. Brixton however has always had a few trendies knocking around but I think it's getting worse, there's also some right poncy bars along Stockwell too but I quite liked that area

I lived in Kennington for a bit in one of the high rises behind the park. It was only marginally grimmer than E&C.

Re: Trendy London
They're taking away the subways in Elephant!! I loved those crazy murals. Those subways made Elephant & Castle!
(even if I did get chased down one of the tunnels by hoodrats brandishing fireworks)

Re: Trendy London
gotta love the heygate estate (behind elephant and castle), i went through it middle of the day once and there were fresh burnt out cars and people stood around burning oil drums, like something off a post apocalyptic film. at least its being knocked down now
on topic- if you really want to hang around with a load of c.unts then shoredich, hoxton, brick lane area, dalston
overland goes up to there from south east now so can easily live a bit out and save ££, forest hill is decent

My flatmate had a friend who lived near there; often saw rats the size of camels there.Mr Hyde wrote:gotta love the heygate estate (behind elephant and castle), i went through it middle of the day once and there were fresh burnt out cars and people stood around burning oil drums, like something off a post apocalyptic film. at least its being knocked down now
Always struck me as a bit odd as to how The Beehive pub in Walworth was a really good pub in the middle of a dive

Stokes Croft is proto-trendy, it's Camden circa 1980.
