HD 25-SP II: lower-cost alternative to the HD 25 II, featuring a simpler headband and a slightly different capsule design.
Whenever I have used them the sound soesn't seem as good as the HD25 II- not such good isolation either, but that could just be because of the headband and not being held as tightly to the ear or the different capsule or something, not sure if they use the same speakers in the capsule.

I'm in this thread as I have Beats Solo and am looking for something a bit better. I mean, they're great but the isolation is shite on them, and I don't think Beats are a case of "You get what you pay for" - £180. Aiaiai shits are tempting me

The Beats show that all you need is a good marketing campaign, it's doesn't really matter about the product.

Bad marketing more like, just celebrity endorsement, they are actually 'Monster' who have a rep for making overpriced shitty audio cables.

I didn't bUy them, 2010 christmas present from da family. They do the job, but I think folk are swayed by the fact they are Beats and have appeared in fuck tonnes of music vids and films therefore must be awesome. Beats were even shown in Book of Eli
