Re: Dub and Roots music
Dubstep is great, but dub is the one. Or dubdubstep.
On that note, watch out for more Joe Ariwa & Cessman tunes, and hopefully some Mad Professor dubstep coming out in the near future!

Re: Dub and Roots music
Read the Reggae bloodline book recently, absolutely amazing read which takes in all of Jamaican culture and how it has influenced the movement

Will try to check the stream if I'm around Clifford.
I was going to bump this thread too because I was watching:
Reggae Britannia:
The acclaimed BBC4 Britannia series moves into the world of British reggae. Showing how it came from Jamaica in the 1960s to influence, over the next 20 years, both British music and society. The documentary includes major artists and performances from that era, including Big Youth, Max Romeo, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Jerry Dammers and the Specials, the Police, UB40, Dennis Bovell, lovers rock performers Carroll Thompson and Janet Kay, bands like Aswad and Steel Pulse and reggae admirers such as Boy George and Paul Weller.

Re: Dub and Roots music
Sound System culture is a very big influence in my life. Respect to all the great music in this thread.
I always try to include some Reggae bits in my sets. I'm playing at a Reggae festival next Saturday and I'm looking forward to playing the "extra dubby set' that the promoter requested from me.
