I paid quite a bit for some of the coloured vinyl pressings on Basic Channel, can't remember exact amounts off the top of my head though I remember it stinging my bank balance at the time.

Related to that, I remember paying a bit for a mint 80's press of Manuel Göttsching's "E2-E4" as well.

:o

That is one crazy tune though!!

also its probably not losing its value if you ever decide to sell it again. reggae vinyl doesn't really tend to do that even if represses are made....

that's because non of the collectors want's repress. i have a quite bit collection of rare first press/pre-release rocksteady, reggae and some ska.
it's indeed crazy and i don't collect anymore - but i keep my collection clean and tidy... :)

exactly. I collect too but I don't really care if it's a repress or not. A big tune is a big tune and as long as it has the vinyl sound to it it's all good.
oh you do? have you made any mixtapes or anything so I can have a listen?

i have - but it's really annoying because back in the day i put way too many jingles that's very annoying...

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.
