i never found chafin a problem... just the fact that it was often winter, in london, and there was a considerably long wait until the next bus... and i was wearing nothing more than underwear. it made me VERY glad for the fluffy bootcover things. i had to drink a lot of vodka before going out so as not to feel the cold. it worked very well. all hail vodka.
