Re: Which DAW do you think is best
Well to defend the op a bit, he would get just as chastised for 'thread necro'. Besides which and new daws come and go, people also change.
I have always used cubase. But I can see that pro tools and logic are also excellent.
But I could'nt possibly use FL. WTF kind of name is that? Fruity Loops! Fking stupid name, and it looks like a plate of cat puke.

Hasn't been called Fruity Loops for quite some time - FL Studio is it's name.
Is it the layout you don't like, or the colour scheme?

You can customize that, but I like it, very neutral and easy on the eyes, particularly the mixer/step sequencer... Beats the millions of bright white pixels Ableton has haha, that shit puts me in migraines.

So true. I can't use Ableton unless I have a darker skin on it.
I can't really decide which DAW is my favorite though. I picked up an academic version of Logic the other day (best deal of my life) I just don't know how to use it yet. I'll have to wait and see if I like it more than Live I guess

All DAWs are equal tbh - its what you do with it that matters. Try a few demos and find which one works best for you
voted reaper, using logic with a lil reaper still. Bought a mac and use logic for collabs not at my studio so i decided to make the switch.
agreed that great music can be made at just about anything, the effort you put into learning what you use and how to make music in general mattters far more than which daw.
