I'm wondering if that old stereotype of english eating really shit food holds true? Consistently low culinary standards on this forum, lol.

Fish Finger sandwiches are the perfect hangover food :) Mayo on baked beans is bad, but ketchup AND mayo on beans is even worse. Wrong.

We've got Vietnamese food round here though and Turkish, ask Metalboxproducts, like you have in your cities, anyway you eat Fish and Chips and meat pies everywhere else so stop biting our shit, Prisoner of her Majesty indeed, I think you'll find the Australian insult for British is self-descriptive as well

I havnt had a problem finding good food in London at all. Same rules apply as in any country - follow yr nose, go where locals go & avoid the places filled with yanks (sorry yanks) but thats easy cos thy are all drawn to the same f'in chain stores they eat in at home.

Only thing I've dissaponited with was the sausages, then I discovered the Halal places, and they seem to, generally, have a much higher standard of meat than others.

Been rokin falafell n kebab from a place owned by some nice central asian chaps last couple days.

Im sure ur right.

I had a pretty decent egg and sausage sandwich in a (halal) mediteranian cafe the other day.

Their double expresso was like meth as well, cant go wrong with that!

Worcestershire,HP Brown or even tomato are all banging, live a little.
Mayo is deep tho, makes them go all creamy and anaemic, yummm.

that's what i'm thinkin! the best sausages are pork! u tend NOT to get good sausages if you're eating out, unless u pay a lot of money. u need to get nice over the counter ones from a butcher or supermarket meat section, not the rammed into packaging ones.

very pleased to see all the love for fish finger sarnies.

watch out for those budget somerfield ones though - 20 for 36p - you get what you pay for.

well, I dunno man, the cafe served halal food & didnt serve bacon - so the sausage was prob a sorta happy (?) medium.

I actually made a tit of myself by askin fr egg n bacon sarny (before clocking the signage) but was politelly offered sausage as a substitute - you'll notice how my bracketed bit was actually in referance to the cafe - not the sausage in particular.

Arent you a law student? butchering a quote like that could get you in alotta trouble, or make u alotta monies, either way, Id prefer you didnt try put words in my mouth - esp as Im quite apt at puttin my foot in it as it is. Cheers.

the sausage was alright tho - but yh, best sausage is made of pork. I like pork me, but, when in rome...
