There's plenty of threads on here from people who have only just seen La Haine, In Bruges, or City of God, and suddenly think it is the coolest film ever and naively ask if anyone else has seen it. Like they've just discovered a rare secret. Sometimes it annoys me and I'll make my usual cynical remark but mostly I think, "bless their little cotton socks."
i still feel very old reading stuff like that though!
guess i like to think i am still 21, but that was actually a few years ago and now my hairlines going north for the winter, i get a bad back (like my dad complains about) and hangovers last more than a day

I first saw La Haine when Barry Norman introduced was still the BBC Film Critic. Now that's made me feel old

Haha, I still silently call it Film '93 with Barry Norman in my head every time I talk about it... I can barely remember what year it is, let alone who presents it anymore, so it comes out as "Film err, you know, the BBC thing that Barry Norman used to do."

One of my best friends from school has a family with 3 kids now, another has 2; one of which is about to go to secondary school.....I just got back from outlook doing the same stuff as I've been doing for 15 years.
Doesn't so much make me feel old, more like perhaps I should start to.

I was in LA the other month auditioning potential singers. The oldest I saw was 17 and she was most certainly an exception to the rule, most were 14-15.

Aww, I love you oldies!
When Nirvana became big, I used to live in Seattle. I wanted to look more like Aaliyah than anything.
What makes me feel nostalgic, rather than old, was spending so much time recording every jams from the radio to my 90 minute cassette tapes and playing it from my yellow Sony sports walkman [with auto reverse]. I would do the same with music videos on VHS. My stepmom threw everything (including pictures) when I ran away.

I used to snuck in to Bumbershoot. When it was like $10 bucks to get in!
