I think night was the first dubstep I heard and it got me searching for more, but then when I heard cockney thug that was when it hit me real hard.

This was one of my first, but I'm having a tough time thinking exactly what the first tune was... Probably Caspa's "Born To Do It"- love that tune to this day. The percussion + tasteful wobbles + awesome samples = classic tune.

First tune I heard was Archangel but the ones to get me into the sound as a whole were Crack Bong (Loefah Remix) and Goat Stare. Second drop :o

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.

Digital Mystikz - Haunted & Skream - Blipstream so yeah I kinda got into it because of the filthy bass wobbles never really got into the chilled out stuff most people listen to here it's weird I didn't know that was the roots of dubstep till I joined this forum

Yep...too true!

Damn i miss those days of spending half a day in Uptown Records, with Jay Da Flex and Huckleberry Finn sorting me out the under the counter promo's :D

And, then El-B would come down and dump off a new bunch of promo's...

Reminiscing big time now... I was there when Deekline came down and dropped off the first white labels for "Dont Smoke Da Reefer"... I only bought it for the Mr. Oizo remix "Flat 5" fing on the other side... lol

Probably not one tune in particular.

DJ Wonder - What
Vex'd - Lion / Function
The Bug - Pressure (night Steppa in particular)
Scorn - List of Takers

You can all find these yourselves on youtube. Got into these tracks late 2004. But Yeah, things really kicked off when I discovered DMZ the following year...

Skream - MRL was the first pure dubstep tune I heard.. I'd say D1 or Vex'd really got me into it, but Skreamizm EP's and early DMZ also deserve a shout
