one of the places we didnt go was that place altho im going to hit it next time round definitely. The Dampkring (that wasnt on Ocean's 12) near the GreenHouse and Barneys was my preferred choice.

My brother told me to go there the first time I ever went so it kind of feels like the original place to be to me and had a really amazing experience smoking there for the first time. Such a surreal experience with the people i met in there and being on my own.

To those who have never been its a 3 story building on a corner. They menus give you an idea of the stone which is a nice touch because as i found out most places dont tell you that. The tunes are varied and the seating is chilled. The low ceiling on the 2nd floor makes it feel pretty cosy. Then there lots of tv's showing trippy shit which is wierd because i dont view 'weed' as trippy but they certainly get you soaked into them. Oh and the Milkshakes are bum ting! haha. (not like im trying to advertise it or anything).

Also the Kashmir Lounge was pretty good. Dark and seating all cushions on the floor.

Don't really wanna turn this into a chat about shops though so sorry for that but would love to hear from some Dutch Nijas on this topic

Re: the THC vs CBN debate, I'm pretty sure THC is the stimulating one and the CBNs cause the relaxed couch-locked state. If you've ever smoked some weed you just vaped you'll know what I mean- super mellow and burnt almost immediately, perfect for going to sleep.

well THC is the one that gives me that really strong headfuck feeling and just mashes my brain... if i smoke something with a bit more CBD even though that supposedly the mongy one i feel i'm able to function more because my head isnt in a pickle

either way it's all about getting a nice balance of the 2

You want the DOWNTOWN one though to be in the thick of all the shops and that. Vibes were good in there. First hostel ive ever been and i was :-| a bit before going but now when i think of going back i always check prices there and recommend the place a lot to people. Can't smoke in room but they have a brilliant smoking room which is great. So surreal in there seeing people from different nationalities and backgrounds smoking in there. See how people do it differently and react to it. Tunes were good as well a fair few Mala/dmz tracks got played in there Alicia and Anti-War Dub i think.

Lovely place serious recommendation.

Moultz wrote: But whats going on exactly over there? I've read that this 15% THC rule has already come in? What does this mean in terms of quality? What was the % on average before this?
Well, as of now theres nothing really going on. The government is debating over the weed issue but nothing concrete. It will take years and years before theres going to be some (major) changes. I think (not sure) it's the same with the lowering of THC %, the shops need to be checked constantly to see if they're not selling weed above a certain percentage. My guess is that it's too much of a hassle and will cost the government a lot of money. The weed available with the highest percentage is Northern Light (39%)
Moultz wrote:What about this 'dutch citizens only' law?
Another great idea from our great government -.-
They want to introduce a weedcard, this card will make sure that ONLY dutch citizens are allowed to buy weed/hasj to a maximum of 3 grams a day. So the tourists who want to smoke.....are fucked. I tried to find info regarding the weedcard but haven't found an exact date, my guess is that the card will not get imported untill the end of 2012.

Hopes this helps a bit :W:

you might want to go to a coffeeshop called Boerenjongens in Amsterdam and get some white choco.

Make sure you ask whether you can smoke tobacco. You're not supposed to, but some of the smaller places turn a blind eye. The bigger places apparently do some sort of substitute, or you can obviously smoke pure. To be honest, it really is red tape gone maaaaad (Yes Daily Mail).

but together with cannabinol it's more uplifting, happy and more positive and with less side effects.
isn't it the other way around?

alot of THC + little CBD/CBN = energetic
alot of CBD/CBN + little THC = stoned

correct me if i'm wrong but thats what I read in multiple places
I'm pretty sure It's the other way too.

THC mongs you and is psychoactive
CBDs relaxes you and are anti-psychotic

don't spend €60 on a g of anything (even chang), it won't be worth it! anything more than £10 a g, they are laughing at you

most places will have a bowl of coltsfoot or other similar herbs, actually nicer to smoke with than baccy imo
we use hemp tea at home

Ahh thats changed man. I know what your on about tho! Thats just a little lounge now where you can chill but if that were to be a smoking room now it would be a classic stoner pit.

The smoking room now is next to the bar and also has a terrace outside which has a staircase to go lower.

Few tables then like a stage almost just covered in pillows. Nice vibes
