When drawing in MIDI notes with the Piano roll, drag it up to the top, make it take up the entire screen. Then you can zoom in a little more on the Piano roll itself and have a larger space.. Might make it easier for you BassSaber.

Wow that will help alot. I just don't get in ableton just how to lay down shit. If I just want to make a tune, do I have to worry at all about the clips with the little play button next to them? Do I belon in session view at all besides using e mixer? ( that's the mixer right ?$

dont worry about clip view. or clips. other people may say something different, but trust me, if you want to just jump right in and get in a solid workflow, just use arrangement view.

if you want to look at the mixer only you can use tab to switch back and forth between the two views.

ableton is not confusing, its the most intuitive daw ive ever used. and ive used FL, protools, logic, and cubase at some point in my life.
holler if you get stuck on specifics, otherwise just stay in arrangement view and you will be rockin in no time.

U should make a video of just creating a quick half assed dubstep track in like 1 mins. Modding lfos assigning hats snares and kick to mixer tracks. And choppin audio etc etc. Or if u know a vid like that

I would like to see this done as well.

Any way to make Sytrus work in Ableton without rewiring or whatever? Well maybe rewiring is the way to go but all my sounds come from Sytrus ... learning a new DAW is no problem. But a new fm synth? Fuck no.

yes. If you bought Sytrus, you can download the VST version from their website and run it on any Windows-based DAW.
...in my opinion

Not everyday is one forced into an opportunity to become a better producer. Seriously, worse things have happened to better people. :P

Oh shit I had no idea!

Though I'm not convinced it's worth buying a new DAW, even if Sytrus happens to translate...

But that's good information. Thanks for that.
