No, just that for some reason it brings the levels DOWN...why can't they stay the same as they were in the original logic file?[/quote]

Like Depone said, turn off normalize in the bounce menu window thing, see how that goes for ya.

and if that fixes your problem, you definitely have some clipping issues dude...different issue entirely, but just letting you know.

because the guy comes in asking why the volume levels are lower in the bounced wav than in the project file, and people are coming in telling him he needs to work on his mixdowns and mastering, throw maximizers on the master bus, not release his tunes to the public, etc.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

Yeah man we are only helping the chap we aren't telling him to fuck off or anything. What kind of advice would you give him then if we didn't touch on good advice?

there is no maximizer in Logic but there is a limiter. stick that on your master channel and the push it hard.

Maybe it's just me, but it seemed really obvious that the problem he was having had nothing to do with mastering, mixdowns, maximizers, etc., but rather something to do with how Logic was rendering the file. People telling him to learn more about producing and to not release his tracks to the public just seems really counterproductive in relation to the problem in my opinion.

haha ok cool man i think i get you now, Logic decides sometimes that if its clipping or something to go mental and fuck up the overall sound so thats why mixdowns came up. Mastering presets came into the convo cause after you mix it down to get a good level and make it loud I usually stick a Maximizer (which is in Logic) on it so thats where that came out of and I was just suggesting that so he could try it and see if the level of the track would become louder from him...I have no idea where don't release the tracks came from and I don't even know who said it, but fuck that release whatever ya want..only way to get better is to have your tracks analyzed and get feedback from others.

Hope that kinda clears up where shizz came out of

Hey man I appreciate you looking out for me here, but as far as I can see, I was just getting some friendly advice. They know I'm a newbie, so they treat me as such - it's not looking down on me or patronizing in any way, it's just giving me more basic advice.

But I truly do appreciate you looking out
