to the op:

i'd definately recommend melodic, smooth dubstep for that sort of events, but i'd personally play none of the examples you gave..

try von d, silkie, joker, harry craze...

Not dubstep, but you absolutely must play anything by The Weeknd:

no offence to you strip club DJs but i dont think that the staff or punters really give a toss about the music...

I know a stripper and the decent ones (read as: slightly higher class) do care about the tracks. Usually though she will choose the tracks she dances to.

@garethom, Great stuff man. Back home now and wanted to mention that as far as music goes , for the vast majority of girls , crowd and MGMT music is a big deal. But to be fair its not a dealbreaker for a certain small percentage of the dancers and the guys in crowd.Every club is its own way though. But for the most part, girls pay the bills ( most djs get tipped out by each girl) and most girls care a lot about the tunes ... Like probably to much because they want certain songs to be theirs to only dance to, and "you better not play this song for so and so because she slept with my babbys daddy and stole our pills and an Iphone that we stole together when we stealing stuff for pills"... and other weird shit that has nothing to do with making money...also, at my club girls cannot request music, EVER. Talk about a headache, I can't imagine a whole night of drake and rihanna dribble. But back to dubstep at strip clubs. I have always had trouble with finding the right moments to drop heavy half time deep bassweight stuff. My club( as are most) are big on high energy levels. Its hard to get people to spend dumb money with chill vibes and I played goat stare once but it was pretty dead and I just wanted to hear Loefah Bass on a big ( fairly shitty though lol ) rig. Im in the southeast us, lots of trap stuff, lots of crap rock music, and diamonds in the rough.

Gangsta Boo -Can I get Paid is all you need though.

Dark dubstep, fair amount of unsigned/amateur tracks from the forums too.

haha just visited this site for hte first time in months and had to register for htis. you nerds dont know the first thing about getting a nasty drugged out stripper to go wild. the answer is not to play silkie or von d hahaha.

simply put i wouldn't play any of this bullshit slow paced 'melodic' stuff that would empty a dancefloor. play grimey upbeat basslines that would murder a mainstream dance (see: one not filled iwth dsf nerds). good, upbeat tear out. but not even like coki tear out, because that shit is too dark to be dancable for the girls. i would recommend circus records honestly, as awful as it is it still KILLS a dancefloor and is, all things considered, some of the better brostep/tear out. Haha when they were the first playing shitty brostep people like doctor p seemed like the end of dubstep, but now there is soooooo much worse (skrillex et all) that their shit sounds deep in comparison. but seriously doctor p would make a stripper get down. nasty ravey stuff
