one thing nobodys pointed out is that you'll need 2 outputs on your laptop, one to play the tune and the other to monitor the next one. thats if you're going to mix them.

+1 for virtual dj, if you can't mix then this does most of the work for you. but you should still practice your set a few times on it first.

Could you pre warp a bunch of songs in Ableton and then launch em in a mix?

You could also use Abletons effects to mess with it, eq it, gate it, whatever.

Yeah, it's cheating, but if you were really scared you could make the entire mix beforehand on a DAW like Ableton and it'd sound really pro, and then just pretend to be doing shit the entire time

Yup, well to pre make a DJ mix it's pretty damn easy, just some tempo, volume, and EQ for the most part, maybe some other parts but thats the essentials...I assume. I've never actually done it

I kinda have to be in control of the mix because at one portion of the song it calms down and theres some crowd participation involved, and I need to be able to time everything right :P

Its at a youth conference, I'm ending the night from 10 - 12, 200-500 people etc.
But, I think if I dont do something to get the crowd involved from the get go they arent going to play along, although by the end of most youth conferences the kids are pumped on Christ anyways :D
That and I'm sharing my testimony, and I'm having a live singer as well for 2 tracks (similar in comparison to Deadmau5's Raise Your weapon)

I don't like being a dick but can I ask you why did you accept to do something if you can't do it in the first place. sure it's exciting but you have to be ready so then you leave a good impression instead of being all derp and fucking up cause you didn't know and making a bad impression. I say you should learn how to mix before you accept shows imo
