lots of people, me included. I only buy my favourites so when I go to put a vinyl on it's always gonna be good, also I really like having a physical copy of something. And I don't skip tunes like I do with digital, appreciate it more that way

Started DJ-ing on my laptop, moved to CDJ's and now go back and forth between Technics and my CDJ's for my DJ sets. There's nothing like a quality, sub-heavy tune on wax. Especially when there isn't a digital release. Makes me excited to play them out for people.

i only buy vinyl to DJ, i buy CD to listen to but thats like 4 cds each year and most digital tunes i have are free give aways.
It's about dropping a track at the wrong speed, and it sounding better than the real thing.

this. only buy tracks i really like on vinyl, that way the selection levels stay high
exactly the same. I just started collecting vinyl and it's quite expensive. But I can honestly say that I really like a ridiculous amount of tunes, so at the moment, I guess I'm in a honey moon phase with vinyl, and I buy a lot of it. I mean a lot. I just spent around 200 dollars @ red eye on a couple lps and a lot of my favorite singles. Got Return ii Space ( I thought that would be sold out for sure! ) Also City limits vol. 1 which I also thought would be sold out.

Cant forget the card stiffeners, loaded up on those, I hate warped records.

One you buy one record, you can't stop. Vinyl's like a drug.
I have been tempted to get Traktor just to get tunes which are digital only & to save money, But nothing sounds the same as a record.

i have nothing to play vinyl on so i don't. i love the feel and look of it though so i've considered getting a player so that there is a point to me getting them. but i can't justify the outlay to my bank account right now :a:

i'd quite like something physical to connote my music collection, but i don't even have a CD drive on my netbook, so it's all downloads, all the time. bit saddening. but saves space innit.

If its worth buying it's on vinyl! Only came across one digital only release I was miffed didn't get a vinyl release ever.

I had a 6 month emusic subscriptions a present last xmas, and to be totally honest Id be hard pushed to remember even a fraction of what I bought from there or where it is. I have a closet full of records and know where every record I ever bought is In amongst the piles.

Horses for course but to me hand on heart, digital is crap and sounds bloody awful on anything than a phone or iPod.
