Oh and maybe some of the menus could be a little less convoluted.
I've been trying to think of stuff that I wish Reaper had, but I really can't
Maybe an Ableton style clip view, but then I think it would be too perfect and they'd start charging $500 for a license

Hudson, I know, I struggled.
Maybe skins for the JS plugs? Maybe that's possible and my coding sucks.
And it's not like the menu thing is bad cos of the actions menu, and the freely assignable buttons.

daws overall would benefit from some ui customization options... a way to make your workspace more "you"

you can choose from about 15 colors in the preferences window ...
I wish I could properly use ableton with 2 screens so I can keep my session window open on one and have my arrange window on the other

learn your DAW better. you can customize the color scheme of ableton pretty easily.

I wish Cubase had a decent drum pattern instrument like FL Studio, Warp as easy to use as Ableton and a Combinator like Reason (I don't like the channel presets).

that, plus the ability to program MIDI is the only thing FL is lacking vs. DubTurbo.

You can actually get a few add-ons that alter the menus to be more user friendly

Yeah, better js plug-in skins would be cool, but I don't use those very often

Rewire Nuendo into FL to use as a VST instrument and you can browse samples with it.

Have you considered bouncing into Pro Tools then using Melodyne to extract the MIDI information and extract it that way?
