Rush Hour is a great record store. Also a pretty big name as a house/techno label. They specialize in electronic music that's
not common. Think it's in Nieuwendijk, which is a street very close to the train station.
Examples of good clubs: Trouw, Studio80, Westerunie, Paradiso etc..
Westergasfabriek is neat too, it's basically a culture park. So there's arts, events, tv studios and all that.
Westerunie is also located in this area.
Rush Hour is in the Spuistraat, about 2 mins from Dam Square. Also check out Distortion in the Westerstraat, they got some nice dubstep from the less known labels
Ah, I was close

Anyone know of any 'bass' orientated events in Amsterdam next week?
Holla!

Well you're just missing amsterdam dance event but I think Tiga and Martyn are playing at Trouw on the 27th.
Surprisingly little going on that week actually. But yeah, every damn dj is in town this week:

I'm playing a free event at Batavia next week. But that's more of a nice 'get together', which I will most likely mess up with banging techno.

Prins Hendrikkade 85, 1012 AE Amsterdam?
What day? I'm only there til Thursday.
Wasn't really looking for a full blow night, I suppose, just bass in Amsterdam.

The Rembrandt museum is pretty cool. Stay on a houseboat if you can sometime. Both times I've been to Amsterdam, we stayed on a houseboat. It was quite the Amsterdam experience for me, smoking herb and looking at the geese right out my window on a friggin canal!
We met a local with a boat while we were on our houseboat, and he took us on a free 3 hour tour of the canals and he really knew those canals like the back of his hand. It was awesome!
I found the Rush Hour shop. It's very small but there are some good cuts in there and Delsin/Rush Hour are a couple of my favourite labels. I found a couple of other good record shops, but I would be of no help in telling you what they are called or where they actually are.
