W's best moment was when his aide whispered in his ear that the twin towers had been hit and he just looked at the camera and carried on with what he was doing.

Pauline Hanson, but not because of her policies. Because without her, this wouldn't exist:

I'm pretty sure seeing him debate with Ken Clarke on a trip to London at some point when I was in 6th form was what made me interested in politics. Still got a lot of time for both of them as people, tbh, but I actually agree with things Benn says! Great man.cityzen wrote:Honourable mention

Karl Rove being a political genius and capitalizing on the shortcomings of bill clinton practically handed W 2 terms.Dub_freak wrote:Gearge w bush is one of the biggest retards i have ever seen, how the hell did he get elected?
Despite my opposing views, and the fact i think he's satan, karl rove is a political genius.
Karl Rove could likely have made a ham sandwich president after Clinton

▬▬▬▬ Nestor Makhno ▬▬▬▬
Peasant-born fighter in the Russian Revolution who went from partisan communist guerrilla to being the co-founder and chief strategist of the anarchist Black Army, which was feared by both the Tsarist White Army and the Bolshevik Red Army in Russia during the Revolution. Once the Bolsheviks got the upper hand they went after him with all their might and finally succeeded in disbanding the Black Army and exiling Makhno... by some accounts, just barely. The history of modern Russia might be very different today had he succeeded though. His influence on 20th century politics is totally overlooked by the West, although most every Russian I've ever met sees Makhno as sort of a hopeful Robin Hood trickster type who arose to fight on behalf of the people because of the dual excesses of the imperialist Tsar and the bureaucratically authoritarian Bolsheviks.
This quote is more true today than ever, I think:
The fact that the modern State is the organizational form of an authority founded upon arbitrariness and violence in the social life of toilers is independent of whether it may be ‘bourgeois’ or ‘proletarian.’ It relies upon oppressive centralism, arising out of the direct violence of a minority deployed against the majority. In order to enforce and impose the legality of its system, the State resorts not only to the gun and money, but also to potent weapons of psychological pressure. With the aide of such weapons, a tiny group of politicians enforces psychological repression of an entire society, and, in particular, of the toiling masses, conditioning them in such a way as to divert their attention from the slavery instituted by the State.

I very almost posted Hadrian for essentially inventing the warless invasion and putting a stop to all the squabbling with people like Boudika. They went through a good patch between him and Aurelius.JBoy wrote:
