its a shame really, he was fucking quality on bbc6 music, always made my day, so many good jokes. think it must have gone to his head a bit when the show started getting so popular the tv execs started offering him primetime slots. he should of stuck with radio.

Russell Brand confuses me. He's clearly a VERY funny/clever and pretty righteous bloke, but he's obsessed with sounding clever rather than actually being clever. He could be tearing lowest-common-denominator pop culture to shreds given his intelligence, image and ability to use language, but he's too busy doing panel shows, writing his Booky Wooks and marrying lowest-common-denominator popstars.

Tbh, his appearance on Newsnight last year changed my opinion of him a lot... he's really pretty switched the fuck on. I just wish he still spent his time baiting members of the BNP.. that was awesome.
