They might go on hold for a bit and may already have done in terms of composing. Omar wrote the whole thing in 2009 when touring for Octahedron. It's just taken Cedric this long to come up with some lyrics

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.

He could have just taken a load of acid in the booth and made up all the lyrics on the spot... i wouldn't make any less sense than his lyrics usually do

This. Probably one of my reset buttons. If I need to reset life, just put this on the whole day.

I think I've mentioned how obsessed I was with TMV. Saw them b2b2b in SD/LA/Santa Barbara. I think in the summer of 2006, I followed them from SD/LA to Santa Cruz and Petaluma to Seattle, but I gave up the Seattle one to be with family. That was fun. I got to travel and all. Excited about the new album.

Frances the Mute has still got to be one of my all-time favourite records.

Not massively excited about the new album, but I'm going to cop it anyway, and also it's Deantoni Parks on drums and he is absolutely fucking incredible.
He's been on a similar live reverse-engineered electronic drum beats tip to Jojo Mayer for a long time, as well as being a professor of jazz drumming and general all-round drumming badman. I'm excited to see what he'll incorporate into his parts for the album.

I guess I actually am pretty excited.

Some people find amputechture hard to listen to. But I love the crazy wtf-ness of it. :D Viscera eyes is surely a tune.

I love me some Cardiacs but don't consider them that 'wtf'. Though I might not be the best judge of what most people think is 'wtf' I guess. The Residents is my recommendation for a 'wtf' check out. Listen to The Commercial Album first. If you like it check out Meet The Residents then Not Available and Eskimo. Here's a sampler, and by sampler I mean thrown in at the deep end:

this this this. It's the only one I really like to be honest.

Anyone see them live before? Literally hours of guitar wanking. I hated it but some people will go nuts for it.

Not really feeling the new tune tbh.

Yeah it's Deantoni Parks now who is even better. More cool ideas and less flash.
