Pretty sure he wants them like that so when he makes a new song, he can open just one project file, and listen for a lead that would sound good with it without having to open a project, listen, close project, repeat until he finds one that matches.Hertz wrote:I don't see the reasoning in having 40 lead synths in one flp, maybe I am missing something?

Re: HELP FOR A FRUITY LOOPS NOOB!!!! simple question.
Naya, flstudio is a daw, but it also runs as a vst inside of other daws. So you can run it inside of itself. I'm just curious as to weather you can move stuff between them. If so, you could be working on a project, open fruity within fruity and that fruity could have 40 synths with their lines. Potentially you could just drag them into your main project.
Can you tell us though, why you would want to do something like this? And why having a folder of sampled lines in audio is not as good (or better) then having instead a midi pattern with a patch in a synth?
I do occasionally reuse audio tidbits from other projects, but I've got an organized folder where I put stuff, and I've got a naming convention that includes the bpm and genre and use of the file to name my files. Then I've got a whole other folder that is filled with random clippings, samples in the thousands. When I want to pull a rabbit out of my hat that is where I go.
But honestly, I never reuse like a straight line from one track to the next. Do you? Let's say I reuse a lead line, I'll fx the line and then I'll chop that fucker up in any number of ways, and play it live as an instrument.

Did you say you don't know how to use fruity as a plugin? Make sure that the flstuio.dll is where all of your other plugin dlls are located. And then see if you can choose flstudio as a channel in the channel drop down. If not, you've got to pick "more" and then "refresh" and it will load up a long list of activated and unactivated plugs. Find the fruity.dll or whatever it is called click the little box next to it. Close that list, now you should be able to pick fruity from the regular list of instruments. Now you've got a fruity with a fruity.
Really curious as to what your workflow is here. Honestly, I've been working with fruity for 13 years, and I've never heard people asking for what you're asking for. Those forums used to be hellof tight back in the day and this was never on the map at all.

Completely offtopic but could you make a tiny bit of effort with your questions, the excessively long ellipses and the spellings are giving me a headache
Also if you select multiple flp files in a folder and click open it will open multiple instances of FL, maybe you can copy between them

Re: HELP FOR A FRUITY LOOPS NOOB!!!! simple question.
Couldn't you also just create a multisample folder for each of your favorite patches and then just load them into a sampler?

You made me way curious so I tested a separate but similar theory.
Obnoxious TS: Okay, here's what you do.
Two hypothetical tracks. One is your new project, we'll call it Project A, the other is Project B, that's the one where you have for whatever reason stored the PERFECT COMBINATION of tweaks, effects, automations, and notes laid out.
In Project A, pick an open channel (Sampler?). Right click where it says "Sampler #24" or whatever, click "Replace" and choose "ReWired" - if it isn't in your list, find it under "More...". It's there somewhere.
In the Channel window which will open up, there'll be a little dropdown for "Client" - FL Studio should be in there. Pick that and give your computer a moment to think about it. You may or may not have to click the "Show Panel" button right next to the dropdown.
You'll have two instances of FL Studio up and running, Project B within Project A. In the Project B window, you can open up your other project and do whatever it is you want. Within Project A, you may be able to tie some MIDI stuff together, or you may just need to put a single tick in the step sequencer, or ... you'll have to figure that out. I'm not experimenting with it because I don't want to fuck up whatever it is I'm working on right now.
In any case though, if you can't figure out nowaysj's method, try that, maybe it'll get you the result you want.

Re: HELP FOR A FRUITY LOOPS NOOB!!!! simple question.
Bro, just store presets for your synth. One click and it is done, you don't have midi data, but whatever, you have a keyboard you can noodle on.kingnaya wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UjSip27xrw
