Although that could be because they were also digi's, doubt the sample would be much of an issue if they were vinyl onlyskimpi wrote:It has stopped released before, such as Jamie XX and Mosca's releases on NumbersThewbert wrote:That sample issue is nonsense afaik.
you're talking about several hundred records being released here, a major record lavel isn't going to give a shit

If this is the future, it seems highly livable: shiny, cool and comfortably dissonant. Like a low dose of ketamine in an empty, luminous airport hall in northern Japan, eating avocado and waiting for the universe to arrive.
Re: More Blawan!
Hinge should probably finger out how to get their other records (ie Ellipsis) to people in a timely fashion before they think about another release. I think I ordered that in April....still waiting.

I think the main problem is because they wernt used to handling such a big press, and also im assuming a bunch of them were stored in a bad place and got waped, meaning they have to repress those ones, this stuff takes time. I got mine thoughSCope13 wrote:Hinge should probably finger out how to get their other records (ie Ellipsis) to people in a timely fashion before they think about another release. As far as i know there was never an issue with the GR Ettiquette sample, that was all just internet talk
Re: More Blawan!
Do you think His Money will be on this Hinge Finger release? I'm not feeling the Untitled tune all that much to be honest, and although I like 'They Choose To Bury Here' I probably wouldn't buy the record just for that tune. Will definitley bag if His Money is on it though, that tune is serrrrious.

I don't think it'll be on there personally. I reckon he'll want to put them out separately, seems a smarter move (in terms of maximum sales/making money) to release 2 very much in-demand tracks at different times. I don't mind really as 'Untitled' and 'Why they hide.." are both big enough tunes to satisfy my Blawan addiction for another few months!
Re: More Blawan!
I think he'll put em on the same release, I've noticed that most of his releases sound like the songs were made close together with similar influences and ideasBo Diggidy wrote:jsml wrote:Do you think His Money will be on this Hinge Finger release? i thought it was p obvious to everyone that Why They Hide and His Money are the same track: His Money is an earlier draft of Why They Hide -- Blawan just went back to the drawing board with His Money and made Why They Hide. I don't expect to see a release on His Money and I don't mind.

Well yeah, it's pretty obvious that the samples come from the same Fugees track, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are the same. I agree with you though, it's entirely possible that His Money won't see a release, he more than makes up for it with this (hopefully soon) forthcoming release!rap_dot_com wrote:i thought it was p obvious to everyone that Why They Hide and His Money are the same track: His Money is an earlier draft of Why They Hide -- Blawan just went back to the drawing board with His Money and made Why They Hide. I don't know man: compare 1:05 in garage vs about 30 seconds into his money.Bo Diggidy wrote:Well yeah, it's pretty obvious that the samples come from the same Fugees track, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are the same. Re: More Blawan!
hinge finger's been interesting so far
Re: More Blawan!
Shit man, I liked both, but this does make it seem like a newer version, obviously the bassline is added and those percs taken away, and obviously differnt vox, but the tunes structure is very similar with the breaks in beat and shitBo Diggidy wrote:hmm..toucherap_dot_com wrote:I don't know man: compare 1:05 in garage vs about 30 seconds into his money.Bo Diggidy wrote:Well yeah, it's pretty obvious that the samples come from the same Fugees track, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are the same. At least His Money's sample is better.
