not really, have you ever listened to say amit? (prolly him and some old digital halftime stuff is what i'd call drumstep if i was gonna actually acknowledge some halftime dnb that is innovative for a new subgenre name)

i could prolly dig through my vinyl and come across a lot of halftime percussion layered with a break far as dnb

really cool mix from microfunk, all made out of an 808 kick sample. the sound design is insane. the first song and the one at 20 minutes are personal favorites. wish i could find a proper tracklist.
here you go http://www.beatsfortheplanet.com/2010/0 ... july-2010/

I recommend Parts & Sequences from last year. More good shit from the Microfunk crew :4:

check out the Space Cadets label too. only 4 releases so far, but really good.

and there's plenty of good dnb labels... Dispatch, Horizons, Blackout Music / BLKND, Critical, Invisible, Eat Brain, Shogun, Samurai Music / Samurai Red Seal, Ingredients, Buried Audio, Subtitles, Zoltar, Narratives. not to mention Metalheadz, Exit, Commercial Suicide, Soul:r, Cylon etc still going strong.

Hello Mike,

Thank you very much for your order. Your record will be shipped tomorrow
(Wednesday) morning. I hope that you will receive it quickly.

Then, I just refunded you the money for the digital version of this
album. We don't have a strict policy for people buying both physical and
digital copies of an album, but I don't think it would be fair for you
to pay the full price for the mp3 while already purchasing (with
shipping) the LP. This money should now be back to your Paypal account.

Best regards and thank you for your support,

Nicolas

Just bagged this 12" :U: :corndance:

Image

Why Does Anyone Ever Do Anything is a nice melodic, smooth, flowing dnb piece with vocals that bring it all together
The flip, Sky People, which is my favorite of the two, is a 140 piece with a melodic bassline dictated by the drums flowing through flute melodies and lush pads - beautiful

Unquote's Reverberation Box album should be right up your alley if you liked that EP. Maybe Bop's stuff too. Also on Med School.

And on a similar tip with the Scuba tune:

It's nothing more than average tbh, and it's not like I just heard of him either, I've been listening to his music for 2 - 3 years. Same things with a lot of artists Medschool's been focusing on in recent years. Unquote, Joe Syntax, Royalston (everything excluding Glitchbitch - da shi wuh cray)
