loudmax is a free limiter that wont mess up anything since it stops raising the volume once any distortion kicks in, good for noobs.
for loudness and clearity its brilliant (more transparent than L1 imo) but as an all purpose limiter its good, quick and easy :)
no doubt that Pro-L can push things louder, but i always find a use for loudmax.
