Faster genres are easier to mix if anything, certainly not harder, there are more beats so you can tell if its in time more easily if that makes sense

Hip Hop 100%
I've only seen a couple hip hop DJs live, and it's all been local, but they're fucking sick

lets not forget about dj craze
this is his web site: http://www.djcraze.com/

I'd actually say the opposite of that. A faster beat (and more beats) mean that it's a lot easier for it to sound total wank. For example, D&B is a lot harder to mix than DubstepTerpit wrote:Faster genres are easier to mix if anything, certainly not harder, there are more beats so you can tell if its in time more easily if that makes sense

that as well, but I think it's harder even with two records that are the same bpm than two 140stravis baker wrote:thats because dnb has a slight variation in tempoDRTY wrote:I'd actually say the opposite of that. Whatever genre Mallorca Lee plays!!
But Zabiela had a wicked set on BoilerRoom last night. 2 cdjs, a iPad, some sort of ableton looking thing, and was scratching. Was mentals.

When using cdjs I find it fairly hard to mix a 138 and. 141 dubstep tune for example, beats are so far apart, don't get that with dnb because there's such a steady beat, it might be just me tho.DRTY wrote:that as well, but I think it's harder even with two records that are the same bpm than two 140stravis baker wrote:thats because dnb has a slight variation in tempoDRTY wrote:I'd actually say the opposite of that. The hats and basslines in dubstep are kinda fast, though.
